Metrolinx

Metrolinx is a Crown agency of the Government of Ontario, responsible for the planning, financing, development, and implementation of an integrated regional transportation network across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA).

Who They Are

Established in 2006, Metrolinx operates some of the region's most critical transit services — including GO Transit, UP Express, and the PRESTO fare payment system. As the regional transit authority, Metrolinx connects millions of passengers across 12 municipalities, spanning over 10,000 km² of service area.

The Project

Trillium Guideway Partners (TGP) is engaged with Metrolinx as part of a major transit infrastructure initiative in Ontario. This partnership involves the design, construction, and delivery of guideway and civil infrastructure that supports Metrolinx's broader regional transit expansion program — connecting communities and enabling sustainable, efficient transit for generations to come.

Why It Matters

The Greater Toronto Area is one of the fastest-growing urban regions in North America. Metrolinx's capital program — one of the largest transit investments in Canadian history — is transforming how people move across the region. TGP plays a direct role in delivering this vision through world-class infrastructure built to last.
